MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DIOCESE OF WEST LANGO FROM INCEPTION IN 2014 TO 2022
- Established a Livestock Farm in Kungu from the Christians Collection of sixty-six indigenous heifers and now has grown 115 heifers. The farm also has 40 exotic breed heifers.
- Construction of a modern office block that accommodates all heads of departments, heads of units, and a conference facility.
- Established a health III facility with now six satellite clinics in the most remote parts of the Diocese
- Secured two tractors now supporting the diocese and the communities to do commercial and mechanized agriculture.
- Acquired transport facilities for the secretariate: a Toyota Hilux Surf for the Diocesan Secretary, a Toyota Super Custom minibusfor the mission department, a bus for mission work through the “BISHOPS’ DREAM” scheme, a Toyota Ipsumfor Diocesan Youth, and Children Affairs Department and aToyota Hilux Vigo for the Bishop
- Establishment of Avocado plantationat Aminakite Farm, and Two acres for each of the then 20 Archdeaconries.
- Construction of anultra-modern Guest house
- Upgrading church structures throughout the Diocese
- Capacity development of individuals for effective and efficient delivery of the diocesan goals.
- promotion of gender justice through a network of women’s land rights paralegals now supporting women to demand and protect their rights to natural resources including land, water, and forest
- supported vulnerable communities in Emergency situations, especially during COVID 19 Lock Down
